The M2 Evolutionary Anthropology: Bones, Genes, Cultures course will not open in 2023-2024

  • RESPONSABLES

  • AIMS

The Medical Humanities mention is composed of a first year of teaching in the form of a Common Core, which allows access to the second year with 4 typical paths:

    Evolving anthropology: bones, genes, cultures

    Forensic and bioarchaeology

Addictology : from the cell to human behaviour

Ethical, deontological and anthropological approaches to health

  • TARGETED STUDENTS

Bachelor's degree students (Life Sciences, Life and Earth Sciences, Human Sciences, Anthropology, Ethnology, History, Art History and Archaeology), health study students, health professionals

  • STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION

Structure of the Master's degree in Humanities in Health:

Master 1 - Semester 1 (30 ECTS) and semester 2 (30 ECTS) : 100% common core UE, including 35% transversal ECTS and 65% disciplinary ECTS

    Master 2 - Semester 3 (30 ECTS) and semester 4 (research dissertation, 30 ECTS) : 1 typical pathway à choose among the 4 following typical pathways :

Evolving anthropology : bones, genes, cultures

    Forensic and bioarchaeology

Ethical, Deontological and Anthropological Approaches to Health

Addictology: from the cell to human behaviour

Within each of these pathways, the student will have the possibility to select 40% of optional UEs.

Possibility of pooling by the set of optional UEs between the four typical courses.

The admission to M1 obeys the document of AMU's Department of Studies and Student Life as to the implementation of the selection in master 1. The articulation M1/M2 within the mention is done by direct access.

Individual follow-up of the student from the moment he/she registers in M1 has been established in order to help him/her establish his/her professional project. This allows the student to be reoriented towards other typical courses in the field. The Faculty of Medicine's pedagogical commission also plays an important role in these recruitment processes, and regularly proposes measures (VAE, training, etc.);It also offers mechanisms (VAE, VAP, VES...) which allow students to optimise their curriculum and to devote the maximum of their energy to their further studies.

  • LEARNING SITES

    • Faculté de Médecine, Marseille timone
  • LEARNING AND RESEARCH

The mention is part of a training A and BY research approach. Several research structures can welcome students during their internship: UMR ADES, INMED, IHU, LBA...

  • SCHOOL REGISTRATION

    Diploma can be access by
    • Initial Formation (FI)
