University hospital teaching staff provide teaching functions for initial and continuing education, research and hospital care.

They carry out their activities both in a university and in a university hospital centre.

Full time staff

University Professor - Hospital Practitioner (PU-PH)

The status of PU-PH is permanent. It is accessible through national competitions on titles organised by discipline, open to :

  • Lecturers of university hospital practitioners (MCU-PH)
  • university hospital practitioners (PH-U)
  • University Clinic Leaders-Hospital Assistants (CCA)
  • Hospital practitioners (PH) with eight years seniority and university experience.

University lecturer in hospital practice (MCU-PH)

The status of MCU-PH is permanent. It is accessible through national competitions on titles organised by discipline, or by nomination.

Non-incumbent staff

University Clinic Head - Hospital Assistant (CCA)

The CCAs practice in the hospital or general medicine field.

The status is accessible by appointment, for a temporary period not exceeding 8 years.

It gives access to the PU-PH and MCU-PH competition.

University Hospital Assistant (UHA)

AHUs work in the biological, mixed and pharmaceutical disciplines.

The status is accessible by appointment, for a temporary period not exceeding 4 years.

It gives access to the PU-PH and MCU-PH competition.

The PH-Us have a title of doctor, psychiatrist, specialist, biologist, pharmacist, hospital odontologist.

This status is accessible by appointment, for a temporary period of up to 8 years.

It gives access to the PU-PH and MCU-PH competition.
