The specialty offers hands-on training in clinical health care research, with an innovative approach using health simulation.
Access to training
The training is intended for students in science, engineering sciences and health.
Medical and paramedical personnel can also join the Master in Continuing Education.
See the application conditions and the administrative registration procedure.
Objectives of the training
Students are trained to design and implement health care interventions (evaluation of drugs and medical devices, training of health care personnel), and to study the health impact of these interventions on patient management.
This professional training offers a practical and original approach, based on health simulation:
- methodology and legislation of clinical trials
- good clinical practices
- the pharmaceutical and medical device industries
- impact of clinical trials applied to medico-surgical specialties
The use of simulation in health, a unique approach in France, is present abroad, particularly in Anglo-Saxon countries.
Objectives of the training
Opportunities
The proposed specialization corresponds to a growing need in :
- clinical medical research professions, in particular as an investigator of clinical trials for drugs, responsible for therapeutic trials in hospitals, etc.
- the research and development sectors of the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Students may also choose to continue their studies with a doctoral thesis in science.
Partnerships and Associated Research Units
This course is based on specialized structures:
- Clinical Investigation Centre-Centre for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutic Evaluation (CIC-CPCET)
- OrphanDev
- European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control - Early Stage INCa Labelled Centre (ECDC-CLIP2)
Simulation research in health is also part of the "Simulation and Biomechanics in Health (SiBiSa)" project initiated by the Faculty of Medical and Paramedical Sciences, which brings together the :
- Centre for Surgical Education and Research (CERC)
- APHM Simulation Centre - Emergency Care Training Centre
- Applied Biomechanics Laboratory (AML)
