Thegeneral aim is to teach the paradigm of medical decision-making ("Evidence- Based Medicine") which has been developing for over a decade. This approach has had a major influence on the evolution of medical practice and the development of recommendations, good practice guides, guidelines
, etc.
It aims to introduce a rational method for improving decision-making, based on facts resulting from a critical analysis of scientific medical literature. It recommends discerning the level of evidence of the knowledge on which decisions are based, and using the results established by international literature ("evidence") rather than individual experience.
