Higher Medical Specialization

Licensed physicians may obtain a title in a medical specialty.

Objective

The training in higher medical specialization aims at acquiring skills in order to obtain a title in a medical specialty.

The training courses last one to two years.

How to access?

The training courses are open to holders of a degree of medical doctor, acquired in France or abroad.

    Clinical internships : 30 days, during the 2 years of teaching (internship sites approved by the pedagogical commission).

  • Transfusion technology

    Admission requirements

    Probationary examination: written examination, interview

    Date: Wednesday 9 November 2022

    Place: Etablissement Français du sang

    Exemption from written test

    • doctors with 3 years of professional activity (on production of supporting documents)
    • diploma holders: DES Biology, DESC Hemobioldogy-Transfusion, CES Hematology, CES Immunology

Registrations

Applicants with continuing education or resumption of studies profiles, have to apply through the Joint Health Continuing Education Unit (UMFCS), in order to draw up a professional training contract or agreement.

You can register to several training courses (it is up to you to check the compatibility between the courses).

Tuition costs

In case of admission to the training course, the fees per year of study are :

  • probationary examination: 251 €
  • initial training: 502 € (probationary examination included)

The training is available in continuing education: €1,067.25
