Objective
The training in higher medical specialization aims at acquiring skills in order to obtain a title in a medical specialty.
The training courses last one to two years.
How to access?
The training courses are open to holders of a degree of medical doctor, acquired in France or abroad.

Registrations
Applicants with continuing education or resumption of studies profiles, have to apply through the Joint Health Continuing Education Unit (UMFCS), in order to draw up a professional training contract or agreement.
You can register to several training courses (it is up to you to check the compatibility between the courses).

List of supporting documents
- initial training: certificate of payment or exemption from the CVEC
- continuing education or resumption of studies: certificate of support completed by the employer or funding organisation
- registration form
- copy of the provisional certificate or diploma of doctor of medicine, and of the diploma of specialized studies or qualification (general medicine or specialty) - original documents may be required
- copy of the last completed degree
- resumé
- if the written test of the probationary examination is waived, provide the supporting documents
- passport photo (on the back indicate: surname, first name, diploma)
- copy of both sides of a valid national identity card or a birth certificate less than 3 months old
- 3 envelopes addressed to you and stamped at the current rate
- form of transfer of image rights
- up-to-date vaccination certificate (compulsory vaccinations)
Foreign doctors must also provide :
- an official certificate of authorization to practice medicine - written in French, with original stamp from the administration of the country of origin or from the embassy of the country of origin in France
- the translation of all documents into a foreign language - by a translator sworn to the French embassy abroad or to the French courts
- the copies of the translated documents must be certified true copies - by the competent authorities in France

In case of admission to the training course, the fees per year of study are :
- probationary examination: 251 €
- initial training: 502 € (probationary examination included)
