Master in Medical Humanities

An interdisciplinary training, the master's degree prepares students for careers as researchers or professionals in health and humanities issues.

How to access?

This master's degree is available for both initial and continuing education.

Direct input to master 2 is possible, only for :

  • doctors, dental surgeons
  • students in medicine or dental surgery, having obtained an equivalence of master 1 (24 ECTS and validation of the second cycle of health studies).

Objectives

The training deals with the links between biological anthropology, forensic and bioarchaeology, medicine and ethics. It aims to acquire the knowledge, methods and techniques that make it possible to respond to new health issues.

Prospects and outlets

Validation of the master's degree allows students to continue their doctoral thesis in France or abroad.

The master's degree also offers many professional opportunities (research and development, scientific mediation and ethics, health watch institutes, hospital and medico-social structures, cultural and heritage professions, archaeological excavations, etc.).
